Itinerary

A 13-day journey across Uganda’s premier national parks and cultural sites, offering wildlife encounters, scenic beauty, and community engagement.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport
  •  04:30 AM – Departure from Entebbe: Meet your driver/guide at Entebbe Airport, transfer to hotel (15-20 min drive). Evening at leisure.
  • Overnight: 2 Friends Beach Hotel
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
  •  07:00 AM – Departure: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park (6 hr total). Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (3 hr) for guided rhino tracking on foot. Visit the top of the Murchison Falls.
  • Overnight: Murchison River Lodge
Day 3: Game Drive & Nile Boat Cruise
  • Morning – Game Drive: Early game drive in Murchison Falls National Park to spot lions, elephants, and giraffes.
  • Afternoon – Boat Cruise: Cruise on the Nile to see hippos, crocodiles, and Murchison Falls. Optional 45-min hike to falls’ top.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park
  • 07:00 AM – Departure: Drive to Kibale National Park (8 hr), known for primates and evergreen forests. Stop in Fort Portal for coffee/tea (own expense).
  •  Overnight: Isunga Lodge
Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking
  • 07:00 AM – Trekking: Briefing at Kibale park office, trek to locate habituated chimpanzees (1 hr observation). Optional afternoon visit to Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary.
  • Overnight: Isunga Lodge 
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Kazinga Channel Cruise
  • 09:00 AM – Departure: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park (3 hr) via Rwenzori Mountains.
  • 03:00 PM – Boat Cruise: Cruise on Kazinga Channel to see hippos, elephants, and birds.
  • Overnight: Buffalo Savanna Lodge
Day 7: Game Drive & Cultural Visits
  •  07:30 AM – Game Drive: Explore Kasenyi trails for lions, hyenas, and antelopes.
  • Afternoon – Cultural Visits: Visit crater lakes, Lake Katwe Salt Lake, and Kasenyi fishermen village.
  • Overnight: Buffalo Savanna Lodge·
Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha Sector
  • 08:00 AM – Departure: Drive to Bwindi National Park (4 hr). Stop in Ishasha sector for tree-climbing lions. Afternoon visit to Buhoma community primary school.       
  • Overnight: Icyumbi Gorilla Lodge
Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
  •  07:00 AM – Trekking: Briefing at Bwindi headquarters (8:00 AM), trek one of seven habituated gorilla groups (2-6 hr, 1 hr observation). Afternoon at leisure.
  • Overnight: Icyumbi Gorilla Lodge
Day 10: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park
  • Morning – Departure: Drive to Mgahinga National Park (2 hr) near Virunga Volcanoes.
  • 03:00 PM – Cultural Visit: Visit Batwa Pygmy community to learn about their culture.
  • Overnight: Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge/Kisoro
Day 11: Golden Monkey Trekking or Mt. Sabyinyo Hike
  • Morning – Activity: Choose between Golden Monkey trekking or hiking Mt. Sabyinyo for tri-country views (Uganda, Rwanda, DRC).
  • Overnight: Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge/Kisoro
Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
  • 08:00 AM – Departure: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park (4 hr) via Kigezi Highlands and Lake Bunyonyi. Lunch in Mbarara, sunset boat cruise, short game drive for zebras and giraffes.
  • Overnight: Rwakobo Lodge
Day 13: Return to Entebbe
  • Morning – Departure: Drive to Entebbe (4-5 hr) with a stop at the Equator for photos and shopping. Drop-off at Entebbe Airport.
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
